Our mission at Livelihood™ is to make household payroll effortless so families can focus on the things they love to do. When founder Gila Ossip CPA, CA, MBA is not working, she is spending time with her 2 children Hanna and Elijah who are “growing up way too fast”!
Our goal at Livelihood™ is to help busy Canadian families by processing your caregiver payroll – nanny, eldercare, housekeeper, and more. By using our services, you can rest easy knowing that all deductions are correctly made, CRA and Workman Safety remittances are processed, and your employee is always paid on time.
We only focus one one thing: payroll.
We are the leading experts in this field, and are referred to more often by CPA firms and nanny agencies than any other Canadian household payroll company.
What’s better, you’ll never be directed to a 1-800 number – Livelihood™ assigns one representative to you and your household, providing a concierge-style contact upon enrollment so you’ll only ever be in touch with the team member who knows you best.
As David Allen, author of Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity said, “You can do anything but not everything”.
Livelihood: Worry less, live more™
All of us at Livelihood™ share a common goal: to make the lives of our clients easier and less stressful by ensuring that all payroll and reporting obligations for their caregivers are being attended to. Most of the Livelihood™ staff are both parents and employers of caregivers, and appreciate the need for a simple, comprehensive solution for all of their payroll needs.
President and Owner of Livelihood Household Payroll™
Livelihood Household Payroll™ was founded by Gila Ossip in 2008 as Tax4Nanny after numerous requests by friends and family to draw upon Gila’s experience as a Chartered Accountant. Gila was often asked nanny tax questions. She was also asked to help with remittances and with the preparation of tax forms for their caregivers.
After graduating from The Rotman School of Business at The University of Toronto, Gila began her career at Deloitte & Touche LLP. She then held a series of different positions at The Bank of Nova Scotia before founding Tax4Nanny Ltd. (now Livelihood™).
Gila was a founding member and past treasurer of the registered charity Nanny Angel Network. Nanny Angel Network is committed to providing compassionate relief childcare at no cost to mothers diagnosed with cancer. More information can be found at www.nannyangelnetwork.com.
Ronit is an accountant and teacher by training. As a mother of three young kids and employer of a nanny, she knows busy parents have enough to worry about on a daily basis. At Livelihood™, Ronit helps take care of all caregiver payments and paperwork so moms and dads can spend more time enjoying (or worrying about) their kids.
Alec has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and continues to study to become a CPA candidate.
